This family run restaurant in the heart of Cheadle Village was looking tired, dated and un-loved. We were tasked by the owners to create a modern, warm and welcoming space. A space that would invite new custom whilst not scaring aware the loyal customer base who have frequented the restaurant for years.

We looked at how to create a space that works functionally and improved the visitors dining experience whilst also looking at increasing covers for profitability. The entire dining area was pulled back to brickwork and refitted with a new seating plans, layouts, kitchen areas, all totally re-designed with a bespoke made bar which has become the main focal point of the restaurant. We also designed a traditional timber, hand painted shop front bringing the entire scheme together providing an element of tradition grandeur upon entrance to the property.

 

The project incorporated artwork and old photography carefully selected with the family to help tell the story of the space and its family traditions and recipes, bringing a bit of the history and personality into the restaurant.
